TILL DEATH DO US PART
Till death do us part,
Seems such a formidable phrase.
When the black soil covered you,
I buried half of my heart with you.
To lose you felt like,
Losing a part of one’s own soul.
The minutes ticked as hours,
The days seem to be years.
A longing to hear your sweet words,
engulfed me.
With each new birthday,
Did a sense of rejoice come with it,
For I came a step closer,
to live the eternal togetherness.
Life went on,
The greying of hair turned to whitening.
When it was time to bid farewell,
To this temporary life and to loved ones,
Happiness seem to flood in me at the thought,
that I would meet you to be never separated again.
At long last had the time come,
For our eternal togetherness had finished its wait.
